MCT Oil Powder to the Rescue!
I have been traveling for the past two weeks. Literally. I won’t lie, eating has been a challenge, 1) because of what food has been available at meal time and 2) because I have been with other people and I don’t want to be that person who doesn’t eat this or that and is embarrassing to eat with. I will say that I did NOT eat the Poutine while in Montreal, even though I love cheese, gravy, and French Fries all together. To complicate matters I decided to eliminate dairy for a while which has been another hurdle, as I have historically eaten a lot of cheese, butter, and cream. They have been my go-to comfort foods. I really wish I could say greens are my comforts – I would be lying. Something to aspire to.
So before traveling to Canada, I have found that one food that has been a wonderful addition to my food choice staples, and that is MCT oil powder. Best of all it travels well! I actually won a cylinder of it at Leanne Vogel’s book signing when she was in Detroit. I didn’t know how to use it. Now I do.
So just what is MCT oil powder? MCT’s are Medium Chain Triglycerides. They are a pure form of easily absorbed fatty acids that can be readily used by the brain, muscle or other tissues for a clean-burning energy. These are what your body breaks fat down into for usable energy. As an FYI, your brain uses about 20% of your total daily energy expenditure. So, it is a good product to have on hand, no brain fog!
Just to be clear and transparent, I use Perfect Keto MCT Oil Powder as it is what Leanne recommends and I trust her. This product has no fillers or additives. The powder also can be easier on your digestive system. Another good thing – especially when traveling!
Some overall benefits include:
Mental:
- Mental Clarity
- Accessing clean-burning energy
Physical:
- Increased fat-burning
- Boost energy for exercise
- Increasing satiety and that full filling
- Phycological
- Sense of well-being
- Emotional balance
And the list goes on!
How to use it.
You can stir a scoop into anything. I use it in my morning coffee. Lots of people put it into their daily protein shakes. You can even throw it to your Keto brownies! It bakes well too! So much possibility.
Much Love until next time, Sherri
